Computing
At The Althorp Partnership, we teach Computing using Purple Mash. The children have weekly lessons and they cover the three strands of the Computing curriculum - Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Literacy. Computer Science is about learning how computers and networks work, including basic computer programming. Information Technology is about the use of computers for functional purposes, for example using technology for research or collecting and presenting information. Digital Literacy is about the safe and responsible use of technology. Due to the mixed age classes in our schools, we follow a two-year rolling programme which can be seen below.
